Hi All just to remind you that next weeks Club T.T. is back to 7-30 pm start time.Whilst on the subject of time of start it has been suggested that next year could we start all the the Club T.T.s off at 7-00 as some of the riders find it hard to get back home with out using lights this would only apply to the 10 mile events not the first 2 events they would still be 6-30 starts what is the feeling of club members?. 7.00pm suits me Garry...However, due to work I can only ride a few events so it's more important to accommodate the regular riders. The start time maybe more important in the next couple of seasons as we will be unable to use the local courses.

Personally from a point of view of observing at events, am more and more convinced we should have lights on in events anyway...... it is amazing how much riders disappear under heavy leafed trees and on an evening where it might be less than brilliant sunshine... Having been off late in mid-week open 25's in the past I often rode with a light esp when I knew the event dipped under trees, or there were thunderstorms around.... not unusual on K6 back in the day... So start time need not be an issue... though I do think it is better if it kept consistent, ie always start at 7pm (except for the early season events) that way everyone knows where they are up to..

As one of those cycling to/from events at the moment I would say 7pm starts are nice for that little bit of extra daylight on the way home. But I intend to have a car again soon, so it's not really an issue for me next year.
